Wellhello is one of the most popular pop acts – lol! – in Hungary. Their concerts are almost always sold out, and their music can be heard on the radio very frequently.
I was asked to design T-shirt concepts and other various items for 1 of those gigs, and for the upcoming merchandise of the group. #Elnök is the own brand of Wellhello.
I got free hand at the designs, and I have chose to go on the streetwear, neon, synth-pop, ’80s wave because it had resembled the style of their music at the time. Unfortunately after I have designed about 20 designs it had been told to me that they have changed directions on this topic. Honestly I don’t give a damn about that it hasn’t been used later in their merch, ’cause it looks really great in my portfolio.
Little description:
On their own material I chose to use more neon, more 80’s style of colors, while on the #Elnök brand I went to go on the Streetwear fashion style. The Hellwello concept was inspired by the thrash metal legend Slayer, and were designed for their Staff, who are big metalheads – in contrast of the music of the band.
